Eligibility

Recent MD graduates or candidates nearing the completion of their medical degree (doctoral level).
Previous experience in medical research, with a demonstrated interest in advancing nephrology, internal medicine, or related subspecialties.
Strong interest in clinical research and a commitment to contributing to scientific advancements.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) for effective participation in research and clinical discussions.

Duration

Eligibility

The program is structured for a minimum duration of two years. Upon completion of the training period, trainees may be considered for continued involvement in the program as researchers, based on program needs and evaluation of their performance by the selection committee.

Responsibilities

Writing IRB Proposals: Crafting and submitting Institutional Review Board (IRB) proposals to ensure the ethical conduct of research.
Literature Search: Conducting comprehensive reviews of existing literature to inform and support research projects.
Data Extraction and Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data to derive meaningful insights and conclusions.
Writing Manuscripts: Preparing manuscripts for submission to academic journals.
Publication Assistance: Identifying and selecting appropriate journals for publication and navigating the submission process.
Conference Attendance: Participating in local and national conferences to present research findings and network with other professionals in the field.
Active engagement in Rare Kidney Disease conferences and webinars hosted by the Division of Nephrology.
